    Fixed it. It was the damn cable. The metal pin inside was bent.

    I double checked the connections and everything looks good. Not sure why it stopped working all of a sudden. I think the cable might be damaged? Does the rear cam have led? I see no lights either.

    I'm hardwired for with the powermagic pro. The powermagic pro has fuses which would blow b4 affecting the car's fuse box. I prefer hardwired since I can hide all the ugly wires. And there is a lot of it.

    Thanks! The front mount is easier to swap. I have tinted rear and don't want to mess with it. But my car lease is about to be over and I'm not sure if I want to buy it out to get a new car. If I do get a new car, I'll just try my best to remove all the dashcam related stuff.

    But the BV doesn't record over an event that is triggered by G-shock. It will only overwrite useless motion video. Unless someone is drawing on your car or keying it, it shouldn't matter.

    You can do both. But I'd tap the fuse box. It's closer and easier.

    My experience was different. Blackvue sent me a brand new working unit when my DR500 couldn't even record a license plate clearly. I purchased the camera from their authorized seller on ebay. I now have a 650 with no issues. Planning to upgrade soon. Even though this one works just fine...

    Guess I'll wait for the 5902ch. edit. The 590 doesn't have a built in GPS. WTH Just more ugly wires to hide. Not sure what Blackvue was smoking when they decided on that move.

    Basically, I don't want to remove and re-wire every thing all over again. Would like to know if it's plug and play using the same connectors, mounts etc etc off the 650S. Also, is it worth the upgrade?

    Really? Cause my cell phone also does a better job at recording video from the same distance as a dashcam. Try it yourself. Use a window mount and do some quick recording. Compare the quality.

    Merging lane doesn't end until half a mile or so. He can still drive on the lane he was currently on. But at about 1/4 - 1/2 miles ahead, it turns into a "exit only lane". He had plenty of time to merge safely. (Perp is on left!) He was on the far right lane which turns into an exit only...
