Short of dismantling it, does anyone know what GPS receiver is inside the bracket i.e. Ublox Neo or Sirfstar iii? Also does anyone know what pin does what on the bracket? 5V, Gnd, TX etc.
Mine is still going strong 3 weeks later on the Kingston card, can't fault it now, although it is bloody annoying that it should work regardless of what brand/size/class card is inserted. I can safely say the Kingston Class 4 16Gb card works without hiccups... on my version of hardware that is...
Just a quick update, mine has been running without any issues for almost 2 weeks now, it's got to the point where i leave it in the car and forget it's there, i glance once in a while to check the recording indicator is blinking away.
I pulled the card out today to be sure and yup, it's...
So am I reading this right there is no firmware update to the 20130903's? I have been using mine without fault for a week now on a 16Gb class 4 Kingston card, all stop starts, looping ok. :-/
Certainly looks like an issue with it being switched on and off, see what givoe say, probably won't get an answer for a while due to the holidays over there.
I'm sure it's something that will be fixed with a firmware update... just when.
I'm half tempted to try the older .TS firmware with the C4 32Gb card. I love registrator viewer, but once the camera is stable and works I doubt I'll need to use the software so that's not a big issue for me, I just...
If you used motion detect mode it would need 24/7 power to it, not a good idea IMO as I wouldn't want to risk getting a flat battery if I left the car for any period of time.
Mine is off a switched positive fuse (Something that is switched off when the ignition goes off) in my case the rear wiper.
What is your recycle time? Jokiin pointed out that it's easier for the camera to recycle in longer loops rather than one minute ones, could you possibly try that and let us know what happens?
The testing I have done in the house was with a galaxy s3 charger and cable I use for charging my PS3 controller so I know both are good quality and work.
We are still in the process of working out what card is best. Greater stability is being noticed with slower smaller cards.
Not sure if...
Right, I have knocked up a quick form that you can fill in with all the info I think may be required to help debug the issue, plus it will save clogging up this thread.
The form will email me the information so that it can be collated and passed on to the manufacturer...
You will probably find it will be problematic from this point on until you format the card. Watch the screen the Storage IO error flickers on and off quickly.
For the record
Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
Writing speed: 2.60 MByte/s...
Grrr, this is annoying, I have cancelled the order for the 16Gb class 4. Think I will just stick to the 4Gb one until / if this issue ever gets resolved. As much as I want to help, I don't want to keep throwing money at the problem hoping it will go away. There is an obvious flaw with the...
Yes but mine has a white sticker on it where as yours is black.
I'm not sure it is a recycling problem as it hasn't got to the point of over writing the oldest file yet, it never gets that far, there was ~15Gb free on the card. The class 10 stopped when there was around 16Gb free.
