There is no issue with reinstalling an older firmware. However have you tried reinstalling the newer firmware? I once had an issue where it was a corrupted installation, so I re-downloaded the new firmware and reinstalled it, and all my issues went away. Just a thought.

In all seriousness I'm certain that localised sunset/sunrise times could be coded into the firmware based on GPS location data. That way HDR would be triggered when appropriate.

Try without the CPL filter. If your windscreen has any type of tinting or finish applied to it the CPL can make things worse.

Are there any Beta testers that can elucidate the "bug fixes" and anything else in version V1.1_1017? The official Change Log is less than stellar in being helpful.

On my old A119 V3 install I used a cut up piece of folding insulated window shade to shield my cam from the Aussie heat. It worked very well. Not sure if I will need to do the same with my Mini as it's currently Winter in Oz, I will wait until things heat up a little to see if it's needed.

I completely understand that, but why should I? Previously, the auto event detection function only recorded when it needed to, not ALL the time, so if absolutely nothing happened then no card space was required. It also made it much easier to narrow down the timeline if something did happen...

Yes, that's exactly what all my previous Viofo cameras did, only lock when G sensor triggered.

So they will not be overwritten when the SD card is full? So we need to manually delete these parking files?

There is a Parking Folder which also contains an RO folder (as per the picture below). The parking files with movement are in the RO folder and have read only attributes. The driving files are in the Movie folder and do not have read only applied.

The only time it should lock a file is either when you press the "Event" button on the unit, or press the button on the bluetooth remote, or when it detects a G shock event, in which case it throws up a graphic on the screen and a few beeps to let you know the file has been locked. I own 4 other...

Thanks, but why are they all in a "Locked" folder. The whole idea of a read only file attribute is that it cannot be readily deleted without changing the property of the file, thus protecting it from deletion. By having all the parking files tagged as read only they are just going to accumulate...

I don't see the relevance. I don't see how applying a "read only" flag to every parking file on the A119 Mini is anything other than a bug, when there has been no trigger to force protecting the file.
