G1W Zoom resets after dashcam turns off?

How do I save the zoom setting on the dashcam to x1.7 instead of it defaults that it resets to when you turn back on the G1W?

I've never tried it but I don't think the camera records with any kind of zoom setting. I think the zoom option is only for filming or playback.

the zoom is digital by interpolation, you'll do better to leave it at the standard setting and manipulate the recorded file on your PC instead
