I know that continuous recording is overwritten as the continuous partition fills up but what happens when the motion and incident partitions fill up? The manual says that files that are flagged as &quot;incidents&quot; are placed in the incidents partition and cannot be over written. What happens when those partitions are full?       <content:encoded><![CDATA[I&#039;ve had my mechanic hardwire a Thinkware F50 to my 2014 VW Polo with the Thinkware hardwiring kit.<br />
<br />
He din&#039;t use fuse taps but hardwired the cables &quot;to the back of the fuses&quot;.<br />
<br />
The dashcam turns on and off with the car and records regularly but <b>doesn&#039;t go into parking mode</b>.<br />
<br />
The parking mode option is enabled in the settings.<br />
<br />
I&#039;m unable to see where the three wires end up but he showed me with a tester that the fuses he used are igniton switched for the acc cable and constant power...<br />

My Wife drove my car yesterday and she was interested in seeing her driving footage. No problem. I went out to my garaged car to remove the camera. I unplugged it and slid it off its mount. Man this thing is hot! I mean hot, hot! the body itself was extremely heated but the lens felt like it was ready to melt. Piping...<br />

Have to say im finding it massively over sensitive. <br />
<br />
I get incident recordings when pulling off from junctions and traffic lights, and in parking mode im getting incident recordings of passing cars and sometimes nothing! Its literally filling a 32gb card as its pretty much constantly recording the most minor motions.<br />
<br />
Ive turned all settings to minimum, and its not really improved things, i can&#039;t be right surely, anyone else had...<br />

Just installed an F50 in my 2017 Honda Accord, hardwired. Today is the first day that I&#039;ve parked my car and left it. It was dark outside when I parked it and as I closed my driver&#039;s door, I noticed that the green light on the camera began flashing.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[Looks like the new Thinkware F50 is available in In a few countries now.  It seems to be a decent dashcam with a reasonable price.  There are a couple videos about it on YouTube.  I wonder if it has a built-in voltage cut off like its big brother F770.  <br />

I know there are going to be motion events, especially if I am parked in a mall parking lot or something. And there will always be impact events as well since it counts shutting the door. So these announcements tend to be pretty useless at best and distracting at worst. Is there a way to disable them? Digging through the options I didn&#039;t see anything. Just wired up a dashcam to my mothers Seat Leon. The camera is a Thinkcam F50 and it has Parking mode. Anyway wired the (ACC Labeled) wire to the 12V Socket - which was Fuse 37 if I remember right - down the bottom of the fuse box on a Leon<br />

Put the other cable (Battery Labeled) to the interior lights fused - Fuse 15 or 16 I think<br />

I thought this would work - it didnt<br />

The cameras was powering up when the engine was off and not going off as far as I could tell<br />

It fired up without incident, on the workbench.  I&#039;ve not installed in the vehicle yet as I&#039;m awaiting a CPL Filter that might work on the F50<br />
<br />
Comments:<br />
1.  I like the voice prompts, that indicate that it is Continuous Recording, GPS is acquired, Microphone is ON or OFF when changed, Event Recording has started (when G-Sensor detects a jolt).<br />
2.  The GPS acquires quickly, and I&#039;m still evaluating the accuracy.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So F50 arrived yesterday, just trying to position and due to a large plastic piece with vehicle sensors in it behind the rear view, it will need to go one side or the other. Drivers side no-go due to existing OEM GPS transponder and it would also block my view mounted below, passenger side the field of view is obscured by the plastic behind the rear view (RHD car, so lens is next to plastic)<br />

It worked the first time using the setup utility on the PC and then re-installing the SD card (the associated .dat file is changed.) However I have not been able to change it since. I even tried wiping the card while in the f50 (hold button for 5 seconds).<br />
