Nayway, having issues setting the date correctly. It wont change the month to 01 for january - it just keeps reverting to 09. That is unless I set it to 10, 11 or 12... anything else, it just saves as 09.

We even tried to trick it by setting the date as 31/12/2016, and the time as 23:59, thinking it would then roll over onto 01/01/2017. It didn't... what we got was...

Of the 4 leftside buttons, the 2nd button turns Display on/off and the 3rd button turns the Mic on/off. I tried in both record mode (red ball) and standby mode. If there is a zoom on this camera (as advertised) I cannot find how to use.

On my first GS8000l, the 2nd and 3rd button is zoom in/out (version 20140913-03).

The latter shows "firmware version" and the former just shows "version" under the last setting in tools.

Does any know if they changed features on these units keeping the same model name GS8OOOL?

I also suspect the user manual (as crappy as they are) is not correct for this particular unit.

This unit does not have an HDMI plug on the top. No big deal, I never use that...

I ordered a GS8000L and that is what the box says. Firmware is GS8000D-P1-151113. Sounds wrong. Did I get an old model or a copy?

I purchased a GF2000 camera with the Ambarella A5 chip, unfortunately when it arrived it had issues and the seller on Aliexpress provided a firmware update unfortunately the update failed and now the camera refuses to switch on, does anyone have anyway clue on of this can be fixed?

So I know the GS800l is a cheap entry level camera, but im not too bothered about that
