Camera is fine while recording on a battery, but I wanted to try out external power to use in car or to make long videolapse clips.

And what I've stumbled upon:
1. When using only external power, no battery fitted - when the power goes off the movie is not saved. No supercapacitor or anything like it, so it can't be used that way. All right....

1. Form factor is very good, this camera is tiny, the front elevation is very small and discreet.
2. In "car mode" the camera powers on, off and starts recording automatically with power.
3. Internal mic can be turned off in the setup menu.
4. Startup, shutdown and button chimes can be turned off.
5. Accepts 64gb memory cards.
6. Mounting options are infinite due...

Updated firmware last nite from ver 1.8 to current 2.3 worked fine this morning,around half the battery in,it stops recording & no buttons will work except the power button itself. The unit can still turn ON/OFF & cycle thru different modes with power button but nothing else works pretty much.

If I try to turn it off and on it would try to record for 1-3 seconds then stop recording & keep on repeating it. Also when its under photo mode it just takes...

Just what is the purpose of the menu button on the side of the waterproof case? Sure, it allows you to open the menu when you've got the camera in the case. BUT if you actually want to change any menu options, you have to take the camera out of the case to use the scroll buttons. Without buttons on the case to use the scroll buttons, just what is the purpose of the waterproof...
