Just received a Matego MG600G. The Matego website shows updated firmware which I downloaded. But when I copy it to the SD card and try to update it says "firmware not recognized"

Anyone else have a problem updating firmware?

Not compatible with your model then

The camera is the Matego Blazer (MG600G) and the firmware says it is for that model. The file extension is .ELF which according to the website is correct as well.

What firmware does anyone else have on their MG600's ?

Have you a MateGo branded cam?

This is what the box says....

be careful updating it as you may end up with a Chinese language only version

Ahh, you are assuming I don't speak Chinese :D but good point.....I don't know why I can't just leave well enough alone ;)

Hello
I have a non branded Version of this Model. MG600 without GPS from Digi4u. The About Site sais "Car DVR" Version 1.01.05.
A Firmwareupdate with Matego Blazer Version 1.01.06 fails with "not identified".
What are the naming conventions for the ELF file? Someone has an idea?

Blazer_FullBurn.ELF
I never tried with a MG600G, but the same file works with both MG600 and MG600E, so I assume that it should be a universal firmware for all Matego Blazer models.
The default language is Chinese, but it also supports Russian and English, at least. As long as you can figure out how to set the display language, it won't be a problem.
