I decided to check how varying the exposure setting while holding other settings constant would affect the appearance of photographs of the same scene. I took pictures of my "junk room" (I apologize for the embarrassing mess.) with the camera set at Quality Normal, Sharpness Strong, White Balance Auto and ISO 100. I took a picture at every Exposure setting from +2.0 to -2.0. I could only post ten of the thirteen photos but they're representative of the results.

To my eye it looks like there are three groups of photos despite multiple exposure settings: +2.0 to +1/3 are brightest and all the same; -1/3 to -4/3 and -2.0 are darkest and all the same; and +0.0 and -5/3 are in between and the same. Is that how it looks to you? Shouldn't there be a gradual but noticeable change with each step change in exposure? I'm a newbie so I don't know if any of the other settings I held constant would have the effect of defeating some of the exposure settings. Does anybody else's SJ4000 give the same results? The firmware is Version G20150408V02.

Thanks.
