How it looks installed?
Papago GS268 is built very good.
It's as good, if not better than my car's factory RV mirror's build quality.
It's all black so very discrete.
From inside:
Very good looking and the screen is invisible when off completely with no trace/outline.
Menu buttons are easily accessible on the lower right corner.

From outside:

The brackets hold RV mirror pretty good and no vibration except when you go over bad road or potholes so strap would be better option..
It doesn't block the light sensor but that's moot point if the whole thing is covered up anyways.

Lens is on the lower left of RV mirror when looking from the front.
It's all black and not noticeable unless you know it's there.

Note: depending upon how your windshield is angled and how thick the vehicles RV mirror is plus how high you want in the FOV, FOV may have some of that in the top left corner as shown below by the arrows.
My RV mirror is very thick so the camera catches some of it. I need to point it downwards little bit.

Papago GoSafe 268 with GPS Module:
I moved the dashcam as far as it can go to the right and factory mirror is not visible as much.
The Papago GPS module GPSA-US works fine with this model.
Cold start GPS lock is around 1:25 and hot start (stopping for less than an hour) GPS lock is instant.

I have the GS260. Excellent cam but the only draw back is the mirror is too dark and with my vehicles rear window tinted, the mirror at night is useless when trying to back up. So my question for the GS268 is did they go with a clear mirror so you can use it at night or is it still dark and unusable at night?

It's pretty good and bright so I think they did improve it.
I don't have 260 to compare though but here's a picture:

The mirror does look clear in your picture. Thanks. Great write up.
I really enjoy the 260. People looking for a new cam should consider the 268 as it is not noticeable from the outside just like my 260.

Nice review,

Hey Papago, if you'd like a comparison review to the 260, you can send me a new 268 and I'll give you a comparison

Anyone using this in a right hand drive country ....can the camera be angled to cover driving on the left side of the road ?

What the heck is "mile/h"? Why do they have to always invent new formats?

I wanted to say thanks for your detailed review.

I want to get the Viofo A119 because of price, but I still might consider this later as I love the look and how it attaches.

There's no way to get rid of the part of the mirror in the images? I guess it doesn't rotate at all?
