Hi Dashcam People!

I have read in this forum that using a PowerBank could solve my issues when installing a BlackVue Dashcam DR750S-2CH in my Toyota C-HR (Hybrid 1.8) and want to use park mode?
The car battery goes low quick (probably due to I don't drive very much and when I do it's normally not for a long distance).

So I am playing with alternative ways of keeping my PARK MODE on...
I also have a HotSpot WiFi router in the can also connected to the Power MagiC Pro that are set to cut-off at 12V
I have looked at a powerbank "Anker 26800 mAh" but this unit need to connect with a USB "A" (the bic fat one that is also seen on most PC's)

So question are: How can I get a cable that fit the BlackVue plug (what is the name of that golden plug?) and into the powerbank with USB A?

Where can I buy a cable or should I just cut the wire that came with BlackVue Dashcam and convert / connect it to a USB (Cigar female and plug in a male cigar plug?)

Maybe it's a good idea to keep the "Power Magic Pro" and connect the powerbank to that? (maybe when and IF I ever get the car battery above 12V - it could charge the PowerBank??
Or should I stick to 1-2 powerbanks?

Hope to see and get some creative links :)

Hi jokiin,
I was referring to the connections... The cable between the camera (BlackVue plug) and the Power Bank (USB-A). How else ... Did I miss something`?

USB is 5V output, the camera is 12v input, you need a powerbank which has a 12v output, they are out there, don't be confused by powerbanks that do Type C fast charging that might show a 12v output rating, this won't work with your camera, the powerbanks that have 12v out that will work with your camera will have a similar connector to your camera, it won't be over USB

You can use a battery from a motorcycle, bike, etc. 12V and a capacity of about 10 Ah and connect the power of the dashcam from it, and to charge this additional battery you will need a 100A solid-state relay and a relay control module that will activate the relay after starting the motor and reaching 13 volts in the power on-board car.
This is the easiest way.

Thx Leonauto
I found the battery in a local webshop - But could you help with some links for the rest please?
Maybe a small drawings to illustrate how to connect things ... dare one ask..? :)

Yes please. I drew a diagram in a simplified form, but I think the principle is clear - you can see what is connecting to where.

References to the elements are given merely as an example; they can be replaced with similar, suitable in characteristics.
The module can be used better.

Wow Leonauto

That is some super help you provided here!
I will bring this to my "Tech Friend" and ask him for help to install it
Thanks a million

This is just an observation but if your car battery is full and you manage to run your Back up battery very low, the next time you turn on you ACC it will put a large load on your wires between your back up battery and your battery. Make sure to chose a relay that is robust as the one's shown and make sure that your wires are properly sized for the task.

I am confused at the need for the drl controller? ACC voltage is 12v and can easily power on any relay. Diodes can be added to the relay activation inputs to avoid any feedback that the coil may cause.

It seems that the first DRL controller has a delayed off feature? Many vehicles would seem to function just fine off of ACC voltage as they also have built in delays already.
