one of these Cameras is like the others but shouldn't be, can you identify it ?

Created new A119 Pro - Beta Tint MOD version BTa , BTb
The BT series MODs are designed for Tinted windows boosting Color and Brightness to extreme levels for improved image quality. View the A119 Pro Download page for details.
Brightness adjustments will incrementally increase (98% - 120%) for each MOD version to match common Tint density values.
Requesting drivers with A119 Pro mounted on Tinted windows load these MODs and verify any image improvement under all lighting conditions day and night, while parked and driving. Goal is to determine the highest acceptable Brightness level before detail degrades.
MOD-BTa - boost Brightness 140 , boost Saturation 140, improving both tinted and non-tinted window installations with slightly brighter image.
MOD-BTb - boost Brightness 150 , boost Saturation 150.
MOD-BTc

Beta Testing Setup: CPL On and Off , Exposure=0 , WDR=Off , Loop=1min

Created new A119 Pro - STABLE MOD versions 6Tk , 5Tk , 4Tk <> 6Tm , 5Tm , 4Tm
DOWNLOAD >
https://viofo-dash-cam-modified-firmware.blogspot.com/p/download-a119-pro-mod-file.html

The Tk series MODs are designed with Low Sharpness eliminating halo outline around objects.
The higher level Tm version has Medium Sharpness. Let me know if High Sharpness version is needed. View the A119 Pro ChangeLog page for full details.
Recommend 24 Mb/s for reduced file size or 26 Mb/s for improved image detail.
Higher Bitrate MODs improve image detail and increase MP4 video clip size.

Recently resurrected my A119 Pro V2 for Lens surgery. Was very disappointed to notice how close 5 tiny ceramic capacitors are surface mounted along top edge of sensor circuit board touching the plastic Lens base.

Plan#1 - replace current F1.8 very narrow FOV uncoated Lens with F1.6 narrow coated Lens using existing plastic base glued to sensor board.
Plan#2 - replace plastic Lens base with metal base and lock ring then install F1.6 narrow or wide angle FOV Lens from A129.

Firmware 6Tm will be used to set Focus.

My Wishlist for next official VIOFO A119 Pro V2 Firmware release :

Change Sharpness from Strong / Normal / Soft ==> Stronger + Strong + Normal + Soft + Softer
Add 5 second Buffer to all Parking Modes capturing video prior to event detection for better protection.
Add Bitrate option ==> Low 24Mb/s + Medium 26Mb/s + High 28Mb/s (use same levels for 1080P 60fps and 30fps)
Add Power Off Temperature ==> 85C to 60C , Off
Add Color Saturation option ==> Auto / Neutral + More + Vivid
Add Brightness option ==> Auto / Low 1 to High 10
Add Contrast option ==> Auto / Low 1 to High 10
Add Beep Volume ==> Low + Medium + High
Add Beep Sound ==> Button Beeps Off

Finally unlocked the A119 Pro V2 1440p Dash Camera Firmware Bitrate limit, it now supports Bitrates 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 32, 35 Mb/s.
Performing early testing now will post links to new higher Bitrate MODs in 24 hours.
The A119 Pro has never shown detail like this.
The combination of new F1.6 Lens + refocused + 32 Mb/s bitrate = amazing image quality ! (RAW test footage posted here shortly)

Recorded some Downtown Vancouver footage using MOD-6Tm at 26 Mb/s using the newly installed F1.6 coated narrow FOV Lens designed for A129 Duo.
Focus = perfect
Sharpness = perfect
Saturation = very good
Bitrate Detail = better than stock

Do you think the "Low 24Mb/s" bitrate is sustainable in the hotter climates? IMHO we need to make allowances for those folks in extreme climates who also deserve the best they can get from their cams.

Once again this is great work and hurrah to the DCTeam (y)

Since the A119 Pro was first released the 1440P 30fps bitrate is locked at 24.5 Mb/s.
Expecting any kind of quality from 2K resolution using under 24 Mb/s is madness, all you get is blocky mess.
Those living in extremely HOT regions should only use 1080P based dash cameras running at 30fps (avoid using 60fps at 30C / 83F) and never buy 2K or 4K resolution cameras. The higher the resolution and frame rate the more heat generated. When the outside temperatures reach 40C / 102F owners of A119 Pro can select 1080P resolution from Menu which drops bitrate to 15 stock or 20 Mb/s MOD producing average level of detail.

This is the best night footage ever produced from my A119 Pro V2.
All this 1440p Dash Camera needs is the Sony Exmor R Starvis Night Vision Sensor for improved low light image quality.

I have put the 6Tm on this morning but it's dull and wet here...

Wide Dynamic Range - WDR - has image quality side effects as shown in this video. There are some scenes and conditions where it would be very useful but most of the time it degrades too much with glare, blur or graininess. I never use the feature and can always brighten video in post-editing when needed. Does anyone leave WDR enabled ?

Good to hear from you again Sir !
The weather here is improving so the highest bitrates MODs will be fully tested before the next calendar year.
The Pro V2 high 32 Mb/s is really amazing, it took me too long to unlock this level.

Need someone to confirm Parking Mode at 5fps works normally with MOD-8Tm loaded.

This is the Best detail so far from A119 Pro V2 using 32 Mb/s Bitrate modified firmware. There is still some pixelation blocks over complex patterns created by cameras variable bitrate setting and sensor limitation plus YouTube's compression. My early high bitrate test results indicate 28 or 29 Mb/s as optimal value for noticeable detail enhancement, otherwise use 26 or 27 Mb/s in hot temperatures.
These new higher Bitrates require further testing in all conditions. Please post your short 1min or less clips or screenshots. Thanks for using DCTeam MODs.
