New AR790 doesn’t turn on

Hi,

Purchased a new AR790, however it looks to be DOA.

I put in the SD card and plugged it into the car using the supplied cig lighter adapter and turned the engine on but there are no lights on it. Tried it on my Neighbour’s car with the same result.

Does the cig lighter adapter have any light on it to show it’s powered up?

Am I doing something wrong?

Try powering it with a USB wall charger.

Also try without a memory card inserted.

I had problems with the 12v connection as it did not fit in to the socket properly due to a poor design. The hard wire fitting was a better connection. Also if it is the dual camera you have to have the rear camera connected and the cables have a positive push in feel.
