Viofo A329S Review

A329T 기대합니다.
You still have enough place for the next 5 Viofo models.

Looking at the SDS video you should think to buy two A329S interior cameras to mount them on the sides. In my opinion the A329S is the best camera I tested for mounting on the sides, even the angle should be a little lower.

All snapshots are taken at exactly the same moment. There is no delay between left and right image.

I was wondering if anyone here can (or is allowed to?) estimate the current estimated release date for the 329s or 329t models? I understand test units are being evaluated by influencers right now but can anyone comment on how long after this review phase products are typically released to public? I'm in need to replace my camera due to a long upcoming road trip and I'm not sure how much longer I can or should wait. Thanks! @viofo

It will be end of May for release approximately. It seems to keep changing.

So to be clear the people I know of that are testing the current products are not influencers. We install, supply, and test dash cameras inside and out. @rcg530 is a software engineer in his prior work. So we try and find all the potential bugs. We typically use the dash cameras in our vehicles day in and day out.

I find influencers take them out of the box put them on the windshield and make a video about it. then 2 months later they promote another competitors product.

We are dealing directly with customers day in and day out so if there are challenges we hear directly from them. I do understand some people may see us as influencers but honestly we just want to sell reliable products to our clients and educate the general public on how the models we use work.

Normally, with Viofo, it continues until the hardware is ready for release and the firmware is acceptable, which can sometimes take a long time, but since this is basically the 2 channel version with an added channel, we can expect it to be pretty quick now that some hardware is out. Could be delayed if a serious hardware issue is found, but that is unlikely.
There will probably be pre-orders from Viofo.com in a couple of weeks, which will be the fastest way to get one.

If you are heading to Canada, you could drop in to SafeDriveSolutions above, have it fitted, and avoid the USA tariffs!

Thank you for clarifying both the potential release date and the testing roles. It is appreciated! I am hopeful the 329s is worth the wait.

For a rental car you need more a suction cup compared to a USB slot.
The best advantage of actual cigarette charger and its cable is because it is USB-C at both sides and if your car have some USB-C slot, you can use that slot instead of the cigarette lighter.
But here can be some problem because I know a 2025 Toyota with USB-C ports which has not enough USB-C power for the dashcam if using the cable presented into the video. SDS can know more about such a problem and maybe in future installs he will test the USB-C ports of various cars. But just for test and not final installation.

The secondary cameras are a little different from A329 and also the CPL of the A329S secondary camera is different from the ones from A329. Also you can see some nice vent holes on the new secondary cameras. I have a post somewhere here where I showed that I glued a CPL lens to use my secondary camera with a telephoto lens.
For the final version of the camera I hope the coaxial cables to be angled at both sides. I don't see any advantage to make one straight, because it will not help during cable installation like it was helping on the USB-C cables, where the angled connector was bigger than the straight connector.

I just bring extra 3m tape and stick it on windshield when i rent a car

You are doing this because you are a smart guy and an installer. Not everybody is so lucky! They will just complain.
BTW, I edited my previous post.

Oh bummer! 😥 Well, it will arrive soon enough I expect. I will patiently wait for your evaluation.
Same here, unlike some individuals who don't have a certain new model so will continue to annoy others with their requests.

Tomorrow morning
There is a relativity problem with those words!
When it is morning here, it is late evening where you are.
When it is tomorrow here, sometimes it is today where you are.
I do not know if it was today or yesterday when you posted that post, I can't even calculate it without knowing what timezone you are in. The time I see on the post is not the time at which you posted it, it is the time that it was here at the time that you posted it, so the time on the post may, or may not, show a different day to the day you posted it!

In future, could you write something like "In around 10 hours time..." please? This is a global forum, a place where the sun is always shining, it is always morning, afternoon, evening, and night, simultaneously.

You seem to be the only person here not using relative times...
