A warning for the Mobius Case from JooVuu

Thanks "Biker" for the warning. I was using mine on my helmet a couple of days ago. I just checked the screws and they were not very tight, in fact one was quite loose. But that's not the end of the problem as I see it! The screws are very tiny - approx. 1mm. x 2mm. long and screw into very...

The wishlist for motorcycle and ridding camera

It's not the video I had in mind, but here's a link to a similar style mount. However, the plates are made from balsa wood. The guy does some interesting tests at the end of the video. The R.C. flying community have problems with high speed vibration on their multi-rotor helicopters. They...

The wishlist for motorcycle and ridding camera

One of the most effective anti-jello vibration mounts I've seen was made by mounting the camera solidly to an alloy plate to give it more mass. This was then glued to another plate using 4 squishy type earplugs about 2cm tall (pointy bits cut off) in the corners... sort of like a low 4 poster...

The wishlist for motorcycle and ridding camera

"It would be nice with EIS, but since that dont seem to Work that good on the gopro 3 cameras it might be a problem. Though i do undestand the EIS Works good on the sony action cameras AS 15 - 30 - 100" I have a Sony AS-15 and, although the EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) works extremely...

The wishlist for motorcycle and ridding camera

That sounds very good. I think there is a lot of potential for an integrated system. For example, even if I used my idea for front and rear facing mirror-mounted cameras, I would still want to use a helmet camera due to the huge coverage it gives by simply turning the head. A good system could...

The wishlist for motorcycle and ridding camera

Yeah, I've mounted my Sony on the side of my helmets and many others can be mounted that way, but the key word in my sentence is "discrete". In other words, a camera that no-one can see and stops silly questions like "Is that a camera?" and "What do you use that for?" - a fitting that looks...

The wishlist for motorcycle and ridding camera

Motorcycle manufacturers go to great lengths to fit mirrors that do not vibrate. Handlebars are often fitted with weights at the ends to act as mass vibration dampers. Why not mount a camera on the mirror stem or, even better, mount a discrete camera inside a replacement purpose-designed mirror...

NEW: Mobius waterproof case with waterproof USB and clip on battery

Hi JooVuu, I just bought a waterproof case from you for use on a crash helmet. For an external power supply, I was going to drill holes in the original back and use silicone to seal them... it only needs to be showerproof on a motorcycle. Now I see you're bringing this out, I might not bother...

    positioning and reflections

I agree with russ331... a lot of bright sky means the camera will automatically set the exposure level to suit the sky and the road will be underexposed and too dark. I try to aim the camera downwards and have 1/3rd sky and 2/3rds. road. Reflections of the dashboard are reduced if you can...

    Right Angle Connector

I was looking for a right-angle mini usb adapter for another camera, but all those on ebay had the adapter either going off to the right , or up , or down, none of which suited me. Then I thought, "We're dealing with Chinese suppliers here." and entered a search for left-angle adapter... Hey...

    Walking with your Mobius

Great stuff... not seen either of those before... to late for the patent now I suppose.

    Walking with your Mobius

Okay, affix Mobius to chicken's head then place chicken upon one's head. Tie chicken's legs around jaw with net at rear to catch bonus eggs :) If that fails... get a Merc.

    Walking with your Mobius

Cheapest way is to velcro the Mobius (or 808 #16 keyfob camera) under the peak of a baseball cap. The head and neck act as natural stabilisers for the eyes (think of a chicken's head when walking). Also, wide angle lenses reduce the distracting motion. Next option is to use editing software to...

Mobius Files - How can I cut and edit the footge ?

I think Windows Movie Maker will edit the Mobius files and it's a free download from Microsoft. I use Cyberlink PowerDirector 12. I also use it for TV recordings/Video editing/slideshows. It's very fast and I can recommend it... especially if you've got a reasonably powerful computer.

    Crash Helmet Camera (Internal)

Hi Tony, That's a good alternative to a "brick" on the helmet... just don't go swallowing the lens! YouTube usually does degrade the quality. Also, never let YouTube "fix" a shaky video... it looks terrible. I have a Sony AS15 on the side of my helmet. I haven't noticed any extra wind noise...
