Let me know if you had any luck getting it recognized. Mine used to be recognized before, but I haven't found an ELF file which was working for me. Now, when I plug the device using the same OTG cable setup, it never gets recognized. Since this computer has not been used since last time I tried...

Check to make sure you have a recent firmware. Mine had the same problem. Focus _is_ messed up on the lens, but on top of that the old firmware used some weird (compression) algorithm which made the images look just like yours : grainy + fuzzy. With a new firmware, the image is just plain fuzzy...

Both cams were mounted side by side, so the glare, lighting, distance, etc are identical between the two cams. And no, I did not return because that usually costs close to $80 which would make this whole fiasco super expensive without any guarantees that the subsequent one would be any good. But...
