    Video Quality Issues

I had the camera replaced and I have the same issues. I don't know what to think at this point. So I'm experiencing the same the same problem with two cameras, 5 SD cards (4 U1 and one U3), in the car and then off the car using 4 different ways of providing power (car batteries, UPS battery...

    Dashcam battery pack

The Cellink or other such battery packs will output a 12V current on two wires. In this case you will either have to connect the HK3 with both yellow and red wires to the + terminal of the Cellink or wire a cigarette lighter female connector and use the dashcam cigarette lighter socket. The...

HK3 does not resume power after reconnecting car battery

When I park the car for more than like 2-3 days I disconnect the car battery and connect instead some other battery I have at the parking facility (that is recharged periodically). Because these cars have alarms, dashcams, and so on, if you park the car with a 100% full battery it will take...

HK3 does not resume power after reconnecting car battery

I guess it's a matter of perspective. But if you ask anyone who needs and is using parking mode I'm sure you will find out two things that will not comply with your statement: I'd have a full resolution full length video every few hours when that circuit wakes up rather than not having parking...

A129 Pro Duo doesn't turn back on automatically after parking mode time limit (HK3)

There's a chance the camera - after being turned off, will not sense the trigger from the HK3 when it will have power on both wires again. If you've set a parking limit time just to avoid SD card wear/fill-up (the HK3 will protect from battery drainage, so I ruled this out) maybe configuring a...

HK3 does not resume power after reconnecting car battery

As I mentioned before I perfectly understand how it works. I described the behavior from the very beginning. However because as stated above I don't think this is compatible with all parking situations at first I saw this as a defect. Now I see it as a design flaw which I never came across so...

HK3 does not resume power after reconnecting car battery

Yes, I know now and I understand how it works. But this is a faulty design and not compatible to all situations when a car is parked. As an interruptible power kit it should provide uninterrupted power unless the power cut conditions are met (no power at all, or power only on the battery cable...

    A129 Pro Duo weak sound

Does anyone else find the A129 Pro Duo sound recording very weak? This is the sound I get with the A129: Here are some examples with some other cameras I had or still have: 70MAI A800S dual: VICO Opia 2: GoPRO Hero 5: Mini 0906: It's the same car, same exhaust system, same motor mounts and...

HK3 does not resume power after reconnecting car battery

I don't think it really matters. If the power kit receives power on the battery wire and the voltage is above the minimum threshold it should work as advertised and provide power to the camera. This is what parking mode is, no matter if the battery was reconnected or not after stopping driving.

HK3 does not resume power after reconnecting car battery

The flaw is that the HK3 does not do its job of providing power to the camera even if it receives power in a proper way. The function of these hardwire kits is simple: if power comes on both BATtery and ACCessories cables - power the camera and signal it is in driving mode; if power comes only...

    Parking mode

If we read all the documentation the conclusion is that the HK3 power kit will send some signal or send power on some specific pins to the camera and that's how it will know that the car is now stopped and should enter parking mode. However, after having some issues with the HK3 which proved to...

HK3 does not resume power after reconnecting car battery

Ok, so I had an exchange of emails with the VIOFO support and it seems that indeed the power module is designed not to turn on when the car battery is reconnected. It looks like they designed the module itself with this major flaw in it. this is absolutely mind blowing... One of the best of the...

HK3 does not resume power after reconnecting car battery

Actually the battery I'm using at the parking facility has an output of 13.2V or higher. Ok, so it won't make any difference if I will buy another one. Well, even this camera had to have something that would not make it totally right. The power module and the freaking massive cables and...

HK3 does not resume power after reconnecting car battery

Before ordering another HK3 power kit thinking that mine has a problem I'd like to know if anyone else noticed if the power module starts providing power as expecting after resuming power on the Battery (red) cable. In my case I noticed the following behavior: if I disconnect the car battery...

    70mai A800S firmware.

The wires of the power kit come labeled wrong: the red wire labeled as VCC+ should connect to accessories and the yellow one labeled as ACC+. However once you fix that the parking surveillance is not good at all. The only way to wake that camera up is to slam a socker ball into the windshield...
