But ircut-filter affects small amount to visible light, blocking it. Very relevant when trying to gain more light in dark environment...

Am I right with this summary? I think yes. In "before" is regular usb cable gnd and +5v, and in "after" is car cable of gs1000 1 connection must be changed to get automatical recording.

If you compare that to regular usb cable and otg usb cable, in my mind comes: Basically its same except, instead of N/C or ground in "pin 4", it has +5V in that. And useless pin1-3 wiped out. I think its easily to modify GS1000 to accept any usb charger and still get automatical recording...

Should I try that OTG adapter thing, like discussed in another thread?

I can't believe this. After 1 month and almost a week, that cable arrived. And it was wrong. GS1000 does not start recording.

how do you open gs1000 nicely? can't figure out where to press and how

you have to lick it before sticking to windscreen. then it's there forever. some say also moisturising it with coca cola is good also, but in my experiences, licking with tongue is enough.
