Yes, the only issues with the 612 (except a wobble from the mount, but I fixed that with a small blob of bluetak) was the inability to do anything with the files on my Mac. Now that's been addressed, it would be a good camera.
Yeah, I saw that.. unfortunately, mine just flashes for no reason.. no interaction (it's on the rear window).. I think there is somewhere in the manual that says this happens when it updates.. again. not had time to look yet..
Anyway.. thanks Kremmen for the interest and input. Appreciated.
Unfortunately, I use a MAC so the H2TEST won't work. I've not looked for an alternative..
Re the cards. These cards were used in the 612 camera and worked just fine. Unfortunately I had issues with the software not working correctly on MAC... so had to return them.
So I'm pretty sure the cards...
Yes, me too, unfortunately, I've got one in the front also, so it gets a bit confusing..
I will have to check that the front one is recording correctly now. It's not worth having if they aren't doing what they should be doing..
Travelling home today and there was a major accident directly behind me. I was in the slow lane on the M6 with 1 mile to the off junction. There was an overseas lorry directly behind me. We were about to enter a 50mph (roadworks) zone and an audi decided to pull directly in front of me. Not a...

The last shot is out of the direct sun. I get an enormous amount of reflection..
I've even consider using an old lens from a set of cheap sunglasses.. I would imagine it would work.

I've attached (hopefully) a few snap shots from last evening. This is normal for the capture I see.
Any recommendations for improvement?

I purchased a Nextbase 612 - 4k camera and had issues with the camera picture / wobble... plus issues with Nextbase software not working correctly with the 4k file (this has been confirmed by Nextbase and it's something they are trying to...
Not sure they could be taken to court for destroying competition. After all. The end user would still have a choice. Have cameras that are factory fitted without obtrusive cameras in the cabin or purchase a cheaper more feature rich 3rd party option.
My current car has surround cameras, this means one front, one rear and one each side. How long do you think it will be before manufacturers enable these cameras to record to on-site storage or even off site via cloud storage? Surely this can't be far in the future in which case dash cam...

Unfortunately, I've returned the cameras for a refund now as we have to have the ability to convert clips easily. Although I've actually purchased two 380 cameras to trial. Just awaiting delivery directly from Nextbase..
Wouldn't it be a good feature for a manufacturing Standard to be approved that allowed front and rear cameras to have the ability to be triggered to protect the file of a single push from the front camera? Wifi/bluetooth module could easily be set to do this.. Just a thought..
