My 0806 works fine ( I have only one card in it), but about once a month it stops working and I have to re-format the card in the unit. Then it works fine for another period of time. Anyone else run into this?

I've been using a SanDisk Ultra 64 card. Somewhere I read that the cam didn't like Samsung cards.

I must be dense. When I do the download there is only one file there to unzip. It's called 0806firmwware-160....zip. Then in the PeaZip window, it's called firmware.bin and it extracts as a VLC file.

It says it's a bin file when I download it, but when I unzip it, it's a VLC.

I've been trying to update my firmware, but the update unzips as a VLC media file. What am I doing wrong?

Haven't tried that, but yesterday I did another reset and formatted the card in the cam. Went out today and it recorded fine for about 10 minutes, the quit. When I started home, it worked again for about the 10 minutes and shut down. I reached down and unplugged it from the power port and...

Had the same issue today. Recorded fine when we went out, on the way back it stopped recording after about 10 minutes. Just did another reset and reformatted the card in the cam. I'm running the original firmware...0806 GD 2015011 V1.0. Wondering if that firmware might be the issue?

I did a reset this afternoon and put it back in. Hopefully I'll get to check it tomorrow and see if that did anything.

Only when shutting down. I have a Samsung card coming...we'll see how it does. I don't know about the allocation unit size. I guess it's whatever the computer is set for, since I haven't changed anything.

I did format with "Fat 32" on the computer and 'quick format'. The mini says it's not formatted correctly on the screen when it shuts down and wants me to format it. It also wants to know if I want to delete files. This screen comes up at every shut-down until I let it do the formatting...

I'll try a Samsung card. It should be here in a couple of days. It looks like if I hook the cam up to the computer with a USB cable, the video will play.

When I try to play a video on my computer, it says the card isn't formatted correctly. I formatted it in the cam. If I format it on the computer, the cam says it's not formatted correctly and wants to format it. The disc is a SanDisc Ultra 64gb. What's going on?

I haven't installed my mini 0806 yet. My car as USB connections from the factory, and today just to check, I plugged the 0806 in with the cable that came with it and got a blue screen that said "USB connected" and couldn't get any other screen. (I haven't tried it with the supplied power cord...
