Hi,
can anyone please help with advice on how to view my GPS track on a map?
I have an Allwinner 6000a rearview mirror cam DVR and connected a GPS logger.
Everything works fine and the DVR records the GPS information.
However when I come to play back the footage (on either DOD player or Registrator software) the GPS track on the map on the right hand side of the software screen is blank.
The user guide for the 6000a says I need to enter a string code "HGN-54034-07432-89838" when playing back the footage on a PC to enable GPS tracking on google maps afterwards.
What does this mean please?
thanks, Tim

Hi,
I think what the problem is the software I use to view the GPS track.
Its called Vehicle Video player and when I come to set it the problem is its in Chinese.
The code HGN etc is the serial number needed to activate it. However I cannot get the software to accept it.
Can anyone please help?
Thanks, Tim

Hi,
just an update I have given up on this now and bought a DOD rearview mirror dashcam.
I also got the separate GPS mouse that plugs in.
This gives full viewing of my GPS journey track on Google maps.
So my advice is beware cheap generic Chinese rear view dashcams .....
regards, Tim
