If You Got Your Unit From Spytech EXPECT RECORDING ISSUES.
why?
he dont test or provide Proper SD Card or even know about it, nor does he care too long with a 90 day warranty

THE K1S UNIT is unique 2 cam dual lens into only 1 SD CARD. THIS REQUIRES ONLY UHS-1 ultra high speed class 10
Fakes and Generics will cause Buggy Recording. At 1st i thought it was the DVR. until if found the Lexar 633x. Now the Recording is Fine and Flawless
RoadCam inc sends out units tested, working and has a 1 year warranty. mfg Authorized Dealer for the USA

took me 2 weeks of testing different cards, and playing around with the cams.

then drill a 5/8" hole for the lens to poke thru.

I did this install some time ago and thought I would share my install when I saw this post.

this is the best install video I've seen. I like that you show how easy it can be to do a clean install and some hard wiring although it may be time consuming. hopefully this encourages those that are unfamiliar with wiring up car electronics to give it a go on their own.

the only step to add for *most* cameras on the market is to splice a 12v to 5v adapter inline on your power wire.

and I really like your car, anders. I wish they were sold here in the states.

@Anders, Great install video. Sorry to hear about the missing video chunks.

It's a shame the K1S is unstable long term (especially in high heat) and the audio recording is useless for those that need it.

I'm confident we'll see better dual channel options in 2016. (Exciting new things are in the works)

Welcome to DCT. Very neat installation & nice video.

I personally wouldn't place the control unit behind a prise-off panel in the fuse box. The control unit should be quickly & easily accessible, to encourage regular inspection of the memory card, to ensure that video is reliably recording to the card. Which, in your case, it isn't.

I hope your missing video problems are quickly resolved.

Good Install Video Anders,
the Recording was Clear and Good too, however you mentioned Breaks in the Recording,?
and you tried 2 different DVR versions same results. and asked about it what it might be

USE ONLY UHS-1 SD CARD / otherwise you get recording issues. Not Any Sd Card Works. No Generics or Fakes,
only professional grade top of the line brands for the K1s. no issue reporting using the Lexar 633

Pier28 is Biased in anyway possible, with his " kindly advice " to Wait forever till something is better while he continues to sell big Suctions Cups Types that Need a Capacitor
before it was the sound recording over and over,
now a guy in texas has a warped battery, and its the Heat Issue Fail for All to Come, and to Wait till 2016 for a better dual 2 cam dash cam
