I've been looking for a dash cam capable of recording both the inside and outside of my car. I'm not really interesting in an oustanding night recording performance, I just need a decent daylight quality and a good angle of view

This cam http://tinyurl.com/njkxsxv seems too cheap and unreliable but that's pretty much what I'm looking for. Is there something just slightly better than this? Maybe at 1080p?

I would really like to avoid mounting two separate cameras.

Thanks for your help

Welcome to DCT. The Transcend DrivePro 520 may appeal to you...

Looks good, probably too good for me. I don't need such things as wifi connectivity. I believe there is no "middle way" between the one i posted and this one?

Meant for rear (inside screen) mounting means - long enough cable, that is it! Where you mount it- up to you and considering decent quality ("rear"), it would be good, not just to keep record of passengers behaviour, but in case of side impact RTA it could be of assistance(to the main, front HD cam footage) also. (If mounted by the mirror), else, I have been in taxi (cab) that had rear stuck with bluetack, where the front screen vents are ... And thought... OK maybe you'll miss some of mischief on rear seat passengers, but in case of RTA it would be best position for, as two truly overlap cover areas.
The "so so" rear is already on a par with cheapos of the front quality.
I think, as the value for money dual cam it is best choice currently.

I guess I'll find a way to install the second cam. I just bought it!

Hi Im a taxi driver and Ive had the dual cameras before, I now have two separate cameras and its the better way to go. If someone grabs your camera facing inside the cab at least you still have video of them approaching your car from outside for identification.

I have this one facing outside https://dashcamtalk.com/b40-a118/ it hides behind the mirror
This one facing inside https://dashcamtalk.com/z7/ it has a wide enough angle to see everything.

Hope this helps, I bought mine from gearbest using codes from this site

Unless they're coming from the side! Thank you for your contribution but I've bought the cam already =(

I'll keep it in consideration in case something goes wrong with the one I bought
