Who manufacturers the VC-400 DVR sold by the videocopilot.com people? Has anybody reviewed this unit yet? It can have 1 to 4 video camera inputs. It can be used by truckers or motorhome drivers to record trips or any other uses as deemed necessary. It sounds like a pretty good unit as described on the website. I'm looking at a similar setup in my thread here:

From the video co-pilot website, it looks like this unit can only record one channel at D1 and still keep 25fps, while the remaining three get downgraded to CIF resolution. Their are much less expensive DVRs out there which can record four channels at D1 with a decent frame rate.

Have you thought about using IP cameras instead of analog? That would get you much better picture quality.
