Hi everyone.
I am interested in getting dashcam
The preferred requirements are as follows:
1) can be installed on dash, rather than windshield
2) good overheating resistance (I am living in quite hot place)
3) good value (~$100, <$200)
4) automatically start recording is required
5) screen is not needed

Thank you very much.

Just about anything. Read through the threads Its all there and this question gets asked at least twice a day.

major heat resistence atm is Vicovation TF-2+/TF-2 and Lukas 7900-Ace

From my experience and reading / following few other forums, the rule of real life max heat resistance of dash cameras is about -20% less than manufacturer claims.
In most cases you can do some simple DIY by drilling extra holes ( few at the bottom and same amount at the top of dash camera ) to create a free airflow which helps heat dissipation to cool down CPU and other inner components.

any particular reason for this criteria?
