iSymDVR is a professional video recorder utility for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. It has many useful features like non-stop recording, built-in gallery, detailed user manual, etc...

This is a quite powerful application already, however its development is still going on. You are welcome to suggest new features or ideas for implementation in the iSymDVR.

Features:

- Non-stop video recording
- Still photos while recording the video
- Recover video recording after returning from the background mode of after incoming call
- Location, speed and altitude reading
- GPX track writing
- Customizable subtitles in SRT format
- Portrait and landscape modes
- Power saving mode
- iOS 6 and iPhone 5 supported
- Favorites
- Password protection
- Built-in video/photo gallery
- Simple user interface
- Built-in Help
- Black screen mode
- Car mode
- Export to Camera Roll with built in subtitles
- Speed limit feature
- HTTP server to view and transfer files to a computer via WiFi network
- Frame rate adjusting
- Maps
- iPad supported

> Works smoothly on iPhone 4
> The video recording loop is optimized as much as possible
> Fast export to the Camera Roll

iSymDVR together with your iPhone / iPod / iPad is a great tracking device in your car

Supported iOS 5.1 and higer

Paid version: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/isymd...8499?ls=1&mt=8
Price: $2,99

Lite version: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/isymd...4007?ls=1&mt=8

Lite version is free (without ads) but with following limitations:
- supports highest resolution only
- frame rate cannot be changed
- storage limit is always enabled with size of 1 GB
- length of the video clip is always equal to 1 minute

NOTE: iSymDVR will not perform recording in the background since iOS has strong limitation about that. No one app is allowed to recording the video when you put app on hold (by pressing Home button) or it goes to background because of incoming call, for example.
However, iSymDVR has a great feature which allows to recover recording the video automatically, when iSymDVR become active again.

Hi alexcrimean, I found your app on this forum and have been using it for a while.

I run it on iphone5 and on iphone 4s when i use navigation on the iphone5, then the 4s becomes the dashcam.

I am very pleased with the app, very reliable, great gps mapping, clear interface.

I do wonder why iphone5 seems to become quite warm after longer use, (longer than 30 minutes), the 4s seems not to have this happen.

Otherwise I am really happy with this app and believe me, I have tried lots of dashcam apps and this is now the only one I still use

Mine does the same

It's the phone not the software

Try taking it out if the case
Or having it in blank screen works after all why watch it on the screen when u are driving
