Joovuu X Notifications

How does the Joovuu X do notifications? For instance, does it notify you if the SD card stops working?
 
Most likely the flashing red LED on the top and rear will stop flashing, or flash erratically, or turn green; that's what happened when I deliberately experimented with an under-spec memory card.
