how much they get used will have some impact on the answer, there's no harm in doing it weekly but someone that drives 30 minutes a day isn't getting as much use as someone that drives for hours each day

It also depends on the SD Card capacity. For me, it's bi-weekly as my SD card will be almost full after 2 weeks of driving.
