Is it possible to attach a rear camera on the RC?

I have noticed that there is a connector that says "Rear" right beside the "Front" connector on the main console where the small camera is connected to. Does this mean that it is possible for the RC at it's current state and firmware to support dual channel by adding another camera? If this is so, what and where can we get this extra camera for the rear?

The Zoran CPU used only supports single channel 1080P. That port is only for factory service use at this time. Camera will power up on that microUSB port but super caps won't charge so only use cig port charger. Sorry for the label confusion but there were too many shells printed with that so we have to use them as is for now. Maybe we can add a sticker over that or explanation in future batches

Thanks for the clarification. So then I think the only option for me in adding a rear camera is to purchase a new one -- either another RC or maybe a GC.

the design was originally intended to be used for single or dual channel versions but the dual channel version never eventuated as it was decided the performance wasn't up to scratch

what were the issues with dual channel version ?

when i see this one sold as a "2 x 1080p + GPS + OBDII compatible dashcam", seems to be a street-guardian-like 12RC product ... what should I think about ? :

is this an unbadged product of the next "12RC" version we are waiting for ?

that is not related to our product, there is no version of the product that matches the specification they have listed either so not really sure what it is that they are selling

ok, thanks for fast reply !

as I see you're living in Australia, do you know Vimeltech or some of their products ?

Actually I just checked on this, it's not Zoran, not Sony, and not 2 x 1080p

it's a split screen 1920 x 540 muxed into a single output, was a test project that was done and was dropped, how this seller got hold of them I don't know but the spec he is advertising is way off

well

So i will wait the next version of the street guardian product ... hoping that it will reach my criterias

regards
