Turns On Before It Should

I do NOT consider this a problem but want to pass this on as an observation. I used to have an iPhone 5 and a USB two port adapter - one for my iPhone and one of the 0806. When I got in the car, I plugged the lightning connector into the iPhone, put the iPhone into the ram-mount holder and then turned on the power to my 2011 Prius by pushing the car on button. In that situation, the 0806 turned on with its ringtone when I turned on power to the Prius.

Two weeks ago, I replaced the iPhone 5 with an iPhone 7 Plus. Same lightning cable and adapter - no other changes. Now as soon as I plug the lightning connector into the phone the 0806 comes on before I turn on power to the car.

I'm curious why?

seems the IP7PLUS output power from cell phone to the charger? or at least a instantaneous voltage signal?
just like the 0806 become a attaching device of your IP, like a lighting USB disk
