Auto-box B40C rec light won't flash

Can anyone help me? I just purchased this dash cam from Amazon. The directions are useless. It's supposed to work right out of the box. Everything is on the lights are on the menu works. However the record light stays solid. I understand it's supposed to flash when recording. I tried the reset button. Nothing changed. Also I can't seem to get the date stamp it just says on or off .

what memory card are you using?

Sandisk 32gb

have you formatted the card in the camera?

have you tested the card for errors? (use h2testw for this)

have you tried a different card?

most models of Sandisk cards are generally not a good choice for dashcams

Hmmm. San disk says all cards are pre formatted

all memory cards come pre formatted, I would still test it though
