HI,

I have just purchased a r300 or X3000 as they are known and am having several issues with it

1) when I first turn it on it says 'g sensor fail'

2) the GPS won’t come up unless it is powered up from the battery

3) the battery goes flat overnight eventhough it's not turned on

4) also the firmware link on http://dashcamtalk.com/cams/X3000/X3000_update.zip does no longer work

any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated

Stef

Link should work now. Not sure if a different firmware will solve those problems though.

Hi,

Sounds like you have a dead battery. The only solution would be to open up the camera, see what kind of battery it is using, buy one from ebay and solder it in place.

I just followed these steps for firmware upgrade, and now it won't power back up.
I've tried the reset button option and still nothing.

It might be the GPS draining the battery. Try unplugging it and leaving it overnight, to see if it still happens.

GPS is NOT currently plugged in. will leave plugged in and see if anything happens. (besides the single red charge light)

Hi Folks,
this is my first post and hope in any help.
I have bought the DVR R300 but i have noticed that there was no european language
in the Menu. The dealer has sent me a .BIN file saying that shold be the language i need.
I have tried to upload it and it goes Trough OK without problems but when i tried
to switch it On the DVR after 5 seconds switches off like a flat battery.
I also got the FAIL SENSOR message.
I have tried to plug the Car Charger enclosed in the DVR box and notice that
when i plug it in i can see the CHARGE led coming ON but after about a minute or two the Charge LED went off.
I retried to re flash the DVR keeping holding the OK button while updating but now
the DVR does not switch on anymore.
Please anybody can help me to solve the problem?
Any help will be really appreciated.
Enzo
