I have a Mini 805 and want to hard wire it. I bought a hard wire kit for the Mini 805. I am having problems. I was wondering if any one can help me. I am planning on wiring it to a add a fuse to a spare circuit that has power only when I have the car keyed up.

The above picture has 3 wires Black is ground I get that. What about Yellow and Red. Which one do I connect to the power of the add a fuse? Do I do anything to the other?

What setting do I need it to have 24 v or 12v?

Thank you for any help you can give me

Unless you are putting this into a truck, it is almost certainly going to be set to 12v.

Black goes to the car chassis (ground).
Red goes to a source of constant power (the stereo fuse will often be a good source).
Yellow goes to a source of power that is active only when the key is switched to the ACC position (the cigarette lighter may be a good source).

Obviously different cars work differently, so it may help to know what car you are putting this into.

Cheers.

I don't think it's important what car it goes into. All of them work similar. If it's a passenger car, it's 12V, if it's a truck, it should be 24V.

What we really need to know is what happens to the output when a) you connect the yellow to the power source and black to GND (keep red disconnected) and b) when you connect red to power source and black to GND (keep yellow disconnected).
the 0805 doesn't have the park function so it's either or on off. so, if I'm correct, it will not mather which one of the 2 wires you connect to +12V power source, the output will always be switched on. and if this is true, you can choose your favorite color that you want to put to a power source activated by the ignition key.

could you post pictures or scans of the users manual of this module so we can confirm my theory?

cheers,
RoB
