Hi,

Can someone explain to me whether or not when upgrading the safety guidance info on the driveinfo folder on root of the sd card.

Once the file is on the card and then inserted into the F770 should the file be deleted once the sd card is taken out? Or should it still be there?

I had a conversation with Thinkware support in the UK and have stated it should still be on the memory after taking it out of the dash cam.

Does this mean mine is faulty?

Thanks

My experience https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/annoying-speed-camera-zone-announcement.27289/ is not to install that file, as it will annoy you....
What I've noticed while trying to uninstall the file from the driveinfo folder is that as soon as you take the memorycard out, the file is not visible anymore. It is still there though as the announcements are still made. So, it is still in memory, and yours is not faulty.

I don't think you can remove or uninstall that file as when you upload the firmware, it automatically loads in the driveinfo information unless you remove that part from the sd card prior to uploading the firmware.

For me I don't mind the speed camera warnings. That's the bit I wanted and not the lane warning or front warning which I found highly annoying. So I turned them parts off and left on the camera warnings.
