Just got my G1WC after reading about them here and I love the quality but am having a "last file corrupt" issue. My camera is hard wired to the car and after shutting down the car I hear the chime but the last file is corrupt unless I manually stop recording. This of course is no good because if I am in an accident the critical portion of the video could go missing if power is cut. I looked at my firmware version and did some googling but can't find anything about my firmware version 2014.09.25? I found some supposed updates but don't want to brick my camera. Does anyone else have this FW version and know if it is safe to update?
My other thought is maybe I could switch to a constant power source vs switched and set auto power off to 3 mins to prevent battery drain? But if I do this I'm afraid the same issue might occur with sudden power loss in the event of an accident.
