so the manual says our 650s is okay temperature wise thu 140°f.
Great ... on a bright sunny summer day, inside car temps - after 1 hour can climb as much as SEVENTY degrees. so that means even if it's only 72° outside, your car's inside temps will already be over the 140°f threshold. So - is it any wonder what happens at 80 - 90 100? i started to read about shutdowns after experiencing this, myself. Jeez! what's the point of having a nice 650s if it dies during summer heat - right during an accident, or smash-and-grab. Just sitting in our cool garage - nighttime ... the camera ALREADY feels like it's hot ... maybe 110° to the touch.
I called tech support & they said get a car cover or sun shade. Anybody / thoughts? Anyone else experience what seems like excessive heat or shut downs?
.

Generally the Blackvue dash cams don't shut down in the heat as they don't have the high temperature cutoff.
As it approaches/exceeds 140°F the lens will probably start going slightly out of focus.

lol .... more great news.
