I understand that date/time is set by GPS... but for some reason my time is off and my date shows it's year 2039. I read a thread that this might be due to Tesla windshield not being able to get GPS signal (?)

Is there a way to manually fix the date/time? thanks.

I don't think it uses GPS for time setting. Download and install this utility from Blackvue on a PC, run it and set the time on your SD card then go install in your Blackvue and boot it up right away:

https://www.blackvue.com/download/time-setting-program/

Read the notes on the download page if you want the time really accurate, the time is not set until you have booted up with the card so you will need to set the time on the card in the future. i.e if it takes you 2 minutes to get from your PC to your car and get the Blackvue booted up then you need to set the time 2 minutes in the future.

Thanks! Will try this.

I know my car stereo time is not adjustable, it needs to be tuned into a radio station that has RDS, radio data service this sends a signal for time, I assume GPS does set/send a time signal ?
Need to ask Jokiin, he'll know and is very helpful geezer.

I just tried the software.
When rebooting the dashcam with the microSD card, it confirmed "Setting date and time", but for some reason the date and time is still completely wrong. Hmm... Could it be that I did not attach the rear camera yet?

UPDATE: I finally was able to get the correct date/time after upgrading my firmware to 2.002, then 2.008.

For some reason the legacy firmware was screwing up my date/time and nothing would fix it.
