new nikon key mission 4k action cam

once again Nikon leaves its owners in the dust... 3 cameras in their action camera lineup, one year later and not a single software update.

it's really a shame because both the Keymission 360 and 170 have excellent, unrealized potential.
 
The new Sony also look mighty fine.
 
The Sony cams are fantastic, but the form factor, UI, and mounts are absolute garbage.

Actually there were firmware updates for KM170 (1.1.5/1.2/1.3) which appear to address IOS Snapbridge app but not much, if anything, for the actual camera. Thought that being Nikon it was worth buying but EIS is awful, night photos and videos are so noisy they are virtually unusable and no support I can find. Other than solid build quality, cheap Chinese Ambarella and iCatch V50 based action cams blow it out of the water.
Attached video was an attempted to actually see the vid it was so dark and also added stability by Power Director post production but video is still almost unwatchable.
