Here is a small DIY I did for Dash Cam 45/55/(65?)
Parts required 28mm - 37mm step up ring, 37mm CPL.

CPL in action:

Thanks for the DIY! Just installed the Dash Cam 55 in my 2015 Camry and plan to add a CPL. What did you add between the 28mm step-up ring and the "gold" ring of the unit - my unit's lens diameter is 26mm, not 28mm? And where did you get the K&F Concept step-up ring?

This is what I used:
37mm CPL:

Step up ring:

The inner diameter of the step-up ring is about 25.5mm so you will have to sand it off a little.

You could also try 28mm CPL (the inner diameter of 28mm thread should be close to 26mm)

Another option is to take the "golden" ring off and try to fit 24mm CPL for Mini series dash cams:

Thanks for the quick response! Will order when I get back in town.

When you have a minute, would you post some raw samples? I'd like to see how 55 is performing for other people.

I see that the ring is made of metal, I assume stainless steel. What did you use to sand off the .5 mm to make it fit to the cam?

Step up ring is made of aluminum so it was easy with Dremel tool.

Thanks for the thread, I bought the same two products you did and attached them to my cam today. I haven't used it on the road yet but I'm sure it'll cut out that glare. I can barely drive sometimes without polarized sunglasses so I know this will be a huge improvement and it's really inexpensive.

FYI you don't need a circular polarizer. They only exist because SLR cameras can't focus with linearly polarized light so CPL filters take the linear polarized light and then makes it circular. That also cuts a lot of the light, so you get more light to the sensor with a linear polarizer. Linears are also cheaper

Thoughts on this: (model # MAG-OLYMPUS-26mm)

26MM and there are sellers on eBay claiming it's a direct ft for the Garmin Dash Cam 45 / 55 / 65..

For $14 I might just order it and see.

I went ahead and ordered the above listed CPL. I'll report back after it arrives. Hopefully it's a match!

The CPL came but I no longer have the camera as it developed an issue and was returned.

Sorry...
