Even Tesla is moving to China where the people and government want to convert to electric cars and the big motor companies have the most incentive to do so..
The USA companies are concentrating on their relatively small home market where Trump is going back to oil and coal, and where they have no incentive to invest in the future.

Probably so the cabal who control the oil and gas industry doesn't kill these people and suppress this new technology from getting to the public as that will affect their profits.
