It Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). A few a busy downtown streets are blocked off during duration. Seems the limo drivers feel have rights one does for hauling an international diplomat around and the security guards have the authority a cop does.

Apparently its "Drake" in the front.

No police escort, no privileges.
I'd have run out of patience, no way would I have let all of them cut in, especially after seeing the moron sticking his head out of the window and laughing.

And who TF is Drake? :p

Rich people should not behave like that, i would have exited the car and told the driver and anyone else they are dumb asses and walked off or get a taxi.

I dont mind people are,,,, whatever or do whatever, as long as its not on the expense of other people.

"run me over then"

OK, since you asked...

meanwhile i personally blocked traffic this morning (by standing in front of a car) at the bus stop because a car (with school kids in the back no less) tried to go around the school bus while it was loading up with kids. that's illegal here, and carries something like a $1200 fine if you're caught. i wasn't trying to "protect" some celeb i'd never heard of; i was helping protect the kids who are trying to get on the bus so they don't get run over.

i agree - no police? no privelege. go ahead and hit my car. you will get all sorts of bad press when i contact both the TV news and the police. because i have a feeling those kinds of chumps would hit n run. either that or try and mob the cam car and make it even worse for themselves.

also, who TF is Drake? The only Drake I know is my son's friend from school. He started kindergarten today. Maybe that's where these "security" morons just graduated from - kindergarten.

One of the TV stations here tried to get in touch with his people at the time of producing a story on this. They didn't return the calls.

Given that its as school bus, and I assume it has a stop sign, it wasn't a live lane. Furthermore you are protecting someone vulnerable unlike that goon. You were preventing someone proceeding in a way to endanger someone else, those that are most precious to you. Nothing wrong in your case, most parents would act that way.

I work close to a school and its the cars with kids that seem to be the most aggressive.

Anyway here is a story last year from Texas about kids getting off the bus.

Yep... School bus was part way into the intersection, red lights flashing, stop signs extended, and red lights ON those stop signs also flashing.

I'm thinking about calling the non emergency line of the sheriff's or Constable's office and asking if I can set up a video camera and send them clips of these idiots so they can then write tickets. I can't expect cops to be at every bus stop out there, but I would like to be able to watch my kids get on and off the bus without worrying about some inconsiderate jackass running them over.

Maybe I should print out copies of the law concerning stopping for school buses, along with the fines associated with it, and hand them out to all the drivers I stop. Or maybe I could just drive to the bus stop and then intentionally block the rest of the intersection with my car when the bus arrives, then move it when it leaves. I'd love to see someone try to report me for that!

I am sure many would try, cuz i expect over there as here many drivers have the attitude that the law / traffic code is a flexible and they can bend it any way they please.

If only they would try that with me. I would let them hit my truck or I would get out and block their vehicle with my body. Obviously they would give me a giant shove where I would then fall on my rear. All in front of my camera. Lawsuit anyone? Cha ching!

Regarding the school bus, I am sure the drivers doing this know this is against the law. In Reddit, regarding the multiple violations occurring, numerous stated so what they have seen worse so therefore this (the Drake infraction video) is acceptable. Right now in society, there is is a growing disregard for any laws or safety of others. **** I see all the time now, I rarely saw 10 years ago.

Some buses have cameras and I think it should be a requirement now. Where I work, residents complained about drivers not fully stopping before the crosswalk at intersections and thus police officers waited along those same areas. I should know I caught. Funny thing is I stop at a red or stop sign when turning right, other drivers just plow through. So years later, (like last week) I came to a full stop approaching a right on red, having more incentive seeing a police car stopped at the intersection waiting for the lights to change so he make a left. The car behind me wasn't accustomed to this, or couldn't wait and used his horn.

I have a youtube video where drivers ignored the stopped bus in both lanes. I have two routes I can take to work and I drive the one with school buses so I can get the video of this. However I usually get to work before they start picking up kids.

and it'd all be captured in glorious full high definition. go right ahead and sue me. here's my business card. i work for a law firm. sure, it's a corporate law firm, and i'm an IT guy, but the card still plainly says "attorneys at law", which may be enough to scare off most idiots. and i would not be surprised if i could get an attorney at the firm to take the case for me if it came down to it.

Exactly my experience here. People just do what THEY want, nothing else matters.
And it does seem to have happened in the last 10 years. There have always been jerks like this, but they used to be a small minority. Most road users had standards. The jerks knew they were jerks. Everyone else knew they were jerks. Not any more. The jerks are far more common and they seem to think their behaviour is normal. They just don't understand what they are doing is wrong.

I'm going to point the finger of blame at schools. Constantly preaching to kids that they are precious snowflakes, and deserve to get what they want - always. Sure, the schools preach respect too, but the only message that sinks in is the respect they think THEY deserve, not what they have to give to others.

It doesn't appear there will be any charges. The Tesla owner is keeping a low profile or perhaps its a matter one can't disclose on. One of the reddit forums discussions on this has been closed as someone was giving details on the Tesla owner.

Tesla's website has an article on this. https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-dash-cam-video-drake-entourage-motorcade/. Highlights

Tesla should put shortcuts to send video to youtube on the fly, shortcuts could be named like "pretty girl", "accident", "look that douchebag".
Why waste time editing and waiting:)
