Alternative hardwiring?

I hardwired my a119 already to an ACC power source, but I was thinking of the possibility to use a 3 way switch(under the dash) to connect the camera OR to the ACC OR directly to the battery; of course through the fuse box and extra fused.
Before, I had no intentions to use the parking mode feature of the v3.3, but in case of, with the use of a switch, I have still the 'possibility' to use it for a couple of hours for not to drain the car battery.
Did anyone did this before?

I power mine via the OBD port, using a kit bought from Amazon, quite cheaply. It has a switch to allow constant power or to supply power until five minutes after ignition is turned off. It also has a low voltage cut off. When I am parked in public I keep power on, for parking mode. When parked at home I save battery by turning power off with the switch.

That's perfect and imho the way to go! Thanks a lot! If you ever need to use the parking mode (after the v3.3 update), then you easily can.
Had to know this before.......
