Not dash cam videos, but shows the crazy driving we face in Toronto

clip #1 - Sept 11 - Downtown Toronto - Gardiner

clip #2 - Oct 24 - Brampton
Story on this
https://globalnews.ca/news/3826351/...rea-driver-recorded-reversing-down-busy-road/
It has video from another car, of the Pontiac making a left turn

The reddit clips are kind of interesting
  • "He drive more of a straight line in reverse than taxi drivers do going forward."
  • Note its filmed with a cell phone. "Driving without a dash cam in Brampton is the real craziness here". Highest insurance rates in the country.

Clip 1 - it would be interesting to interview that driver and ask in what universe would it be OK to reverse on a roadway to make an exit?
Clip 2 - pretty good driving, but will probably lead to a neck spasm. Forward gears must have been kaput.

Good clips, thanks

Clip 1. last exit before the north pole

There was almost a nasty pileup (and I might have been in the pileup) because some obliviot tried to reverse on us290 to get to the exit he missed... At night. In a construction zone. Where there are no shoulders on either side. Where the speed limit is 65 but people usually do 75+.

Thankfully it just shortened the life of everyone's tires and brakes, but it was still pretty scary. Once traffic began piling up behind him he couldn't reverse anymore and had no choice but to go forward again.

Even on a rural highway where there's miles and miles between exits, trying to reverse is still ridiculously stupid. But here, there's exits every half mile or so, so backing up is even worse!

I thought the car in clip 2 was being towed down the road.

Maybe their transmission was broken and they only had the reverse gear operational?
