I just posted this in the mini 0801 section. It really applies to all dashcams though. Since the WF1 doesn't seem to have as good of a WDR as the non-WiFi models, maybe we can bring WiFi capability to TF models instead.

It would mean you can transfer files while it's still recording too if it's anything like the Eye-Fi

How does the PQI Air stack up against the Eye-Fi? http://www.eye.fi

So far the main one I see is:

"One specific feature, however, makes the Air Card stand out. The feature that differentiates it from other WiFi memory cards on the market is the fact that no actual memory is built into the Air Card itself. Instead it has a slot into which you can insert a microSD card of your choice. If you’re someone who fills up cards quickly, that means you won’t have to buy a bunch of very expensive EyeFi cards, just one shell and as many relatively cheap microSD cards as your heart desires."

Since the Vico TF models use SD cards, it's good to go. Any other cam you can buy a microSD to SD adapter ribbon cable.

It looks like a good product, but it is missing one ciritcal feature that the Eyefi supports, and would be my main reason for getting one of these wifi cards. The Eyefi is capable of automatically transferring all new files on the card to a designated PC over a wireless network. The PQI seems to only support portable devices and not the PC. My main use would be to have the wifi card record as usual and at the end of the day when I pull into the garage, leave the camera on using a timer and let it automatically offload all new recordings to the PC. Basically a completely hands off system for automatic archiving. Maybe PQI will come up with a newer model or firmware upgrade that can support direct to PC transfers.

Bummer, maybe Eye-Fi is the way to go then. At least they finally have a new 32GB model.

Hi, seems a great idea to me using a PQi Air with an adapter cable providing a streaming capability for an ios or android device. Gone any further or?
