Can anyone advise please? Finding this pretty confusing
Amazon UK has a Samsung Evo Plus 128Gb U3 for £37
Sandisk Exteme Plus U3 128Gb is £70

Why is the Sandisk double the price - is it better in any way?
What is considered the best 128GB card for the 612GW?

Watch the Amazon seller. Some Amazon Marketplace sellers can be dubious.

I know Scan aren't cheap but they are official Samsung retailers.

So far mine hasn't missed a beat.

And pay a lot more than you need to.

Ah Ha. The clue to the posts are in the signature. A 'local dealer' no doubt. (If you live in Australia)

How can you tell if cards sold by Amazon are genuine products?

I have always assumed that if a product is stated as "packed by Amazon and sold by Amazon" the product can be assumed to be genuine.

If the seller is Amazon themselves it will be genuine, need to pay close attention when checking out as to who the seller is as it can redirect based on pricing

I have noticed that happening several times during the checkout process. Thanks for the reminder to pay attention.

First thing to do when you get a new SD card is to run SDCheck .
This checks the capacity, and it spots (say) 2Gb SDs labelled as 16Gb

Just received the above Samsung card from Amazon UK[£34.19].

It is twice as thick as any other card i have used. Will this present a problem when fitted into the dash cam card reader?

Just measured my card.
It is 0.75mm thick............exactly the same as my other cards.

It must be me who is thick!!!!

I couldn't find this information anywhere else - just in case anyone is wondering what is the largest micro sd card 612GW takes, just tested it with 200GB Sandisk ultra plus, formatted and used for a day without the slightest problem,
tried the same card on my 512GW and it wouldn't even format it, showing only an error, the biggest 512GW accepted was SanDisk 128GB ultra that I had at my disposal
612GW is currently on RO5.3 and 512GW is currently on 17.9

It was formated by 612GW, as far as I know there is no option to change it on the device itself, you could only choose "format card"
