Hello everybody,

I would like to have your advice before buying one of these 2 action cameras.

I saw a lot of reviews of the Thieye T5e. It seems to be a very good choice. It is a real 4K with SONY IMX117 sensor. It films 4K at 30fps, 2.5K 60fps, 1080P at 120/60/30fps

The Crosstour CT9500 is a new camera, there is no review, but they say it films 4K at 30fps, and 1080p at max 60fps (no infos about intermediate resolutions). This camera comes with 2 batteries of 1350 mAh. The camera uses the SONY IMX377 sensor, which should be a little bit better than the IMX117.

Crosstour CT9500 on Amazon : https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/B07DRJLK47

Thieye T5e has the 1/4" threated insert at the bottom (the Crosstour no), see image. On Amazon, the T5e is a little bit more exepnsive than CT9500.

I do not know which one I should buy.

Thanks !

Also Crosstour has a F1.8 lens and Thieye F2.8.

Hello Jokiin,

No, I already have 5 dashcams :), but I think Crosstour has the looping video feature.

I'm more interested by the timelapse feature, filming underwater (4 m depth maximum) or mounted on a bike.

I just want a good camera, not expensive, with real 4K resolution.

I saw now also the SJCAM SJ7, F2.5 It seems the Crosstour is better for filming under low light conditions.

So, I should take into account the price in this case. The Crosstour is 90 euros, the SJ7 and the T5e is 140-150 euros.

Very hard decision ! :)

The SJ7 seems also as good as the T5e. SJ7 has a metal body and motion detection.

It was a very difficult decision. Finally, I ordered a YI 4k due to a good price (Amazon Prime Day 133 €) including the waterproof case. It arrives on Friday. I hope I made the good choice.

During this time, I discovered another good camera. It's about the Akaso V50 Pro, real 4K, with stabilized 4K, touch screen, remote control etc at a good price also. But I'm a not really confident when they indicate 20 Mpixels photo with a sensor of 12 MP. The same for Crosstour CT9500.
