Your video avatar "No more dashcam" can be taken like a statement againts DashCamTalk comminity. Using any smart phone or tablet will NEVER substitute purposely built dashcam. "All for one" has never been good, except Leatherman and Victorinox . Yes, smartphone or tablet can be tempopary solution, but not like your statement "no more dashcams" !

If I go to some car forum, start posting "no more cars" and making a propaganda about bicycles or motorcycles / tricycles / ATV as a way of alternative transportation, what do you think how that forum community will react ?

As I mentioned earlier: smart phone as dashcam is great TEMPORARY solution ( substitution ?) , and I respect all those Smartphones DVR App developers who work hard, but its a false / misleading statement @ "no more dashcams".
