I got exactly same capture like OP, cable checked ok. but the female jack on Front camera might defected (There was a time I unmount front camera from window without unplug rear camera cable). Don't have time flashback v1.009 to see if this is software issue, but based on exp. I say no.

That's what you will do after installing custom FW. the custom FW setting is based on Web-interface. While your pc/mobile/laptop is connected to you DVR, open a browser(Chrome recommended) and type 192.168.8.1 to go into custom FW setting.
