Well, you have to see the price range of the mini (pretty close, slightly lower) and the maxi 2.7 (slightly higher)....not much rooom, it would not make sense to price it above the Maxi 2.7.

yes, but they should have modified the tool. And probably they even had some ''old'' case from previous model around. Same goes for the #16, #32, #32S. Mini case had been modified for different reasons (ventilation/no more brass cooling studs).

oh, very hard to predict a timeframe. In the past there were rather short timeframe but also superlong (like for the 808#32). Just remember Chinese NY is beginning of feb (everything slows down beforehand) and there might be some supply/production issues right now in China due to covid lockdown...
