Yes, you need the smaller fuse type. And, when I added my add-a-fuse I had to file a bit of the plastic off to allow the add-a-fuse thing to seat properly.

It's a camera and location matters, but the best location might obstruct your view.

I doubt static film has enough holding power to carry the weight of a dash cam. But, it's a simple enough test to try.

On paper, in real life it's often a lot different. Just saying it would have been interesting to see some real times to move the same size file on an "average" computer.

But, you have to use the app to move them to the photo gallery. They are not available to see from the Finder app.

Seems they are marked as hidden and can only be accessed through the app. A technique used by numerous apps that store data.

Some evidently have gone the easy way and put in an off/on switch in the ground wire. No ground, no dash cam.

Assuming the 770x has a time setting.. set the camera to turn off in 12 hours? My BlackVue DR900x-Plus does, not sure if it has a 12 hour setting though, mine is set to turn off in one hour.

If.. you were happy having your camera only being powered while the radio is available, the radio fuse would be a reasonable pick. Assuming the radio will not turn on without the key or fob in close proximity. You, or your installer would use a piggyback/add a fuse to take a feed from that location.

With #3 I think you have the fuse tap in the wrong way around, your way works but there is a ton of discussion on which orientation is correct.

Consider how many moving objects, relative to your moving dashcam the system would have to monitor. Multi lane vehicles coming towards you.. vehicles in front of you, Take computer power that is just not available in a dash cam.
